Located on the border of North and South Carolina, Carolina Point is a safe haven for countless young souls, searching for a new adventure. These individuals all come from different backgrounds, but unite as a whole and build lifelong relationships when joined together.

Carolina Point is a camp run by Young Life, an organization dedicated to helping young adults build their relationship with Jesus and establish their faith. It truly is an experience unlike any other.

I recently spent the past weekend at Carolina Point and I can honestly say it exceeded all of my expectations. I was worried that I was going to be joining a cult and having Bible study 24/7. Contrary to my belief, it was more like a fun weekend getaway rather than a strict religious retreat.

Campers at Carolina Point have the chance to go zip lining, go-karting, paddle boarding, play archery tag, volleyball and basketball, have water balloon fights and countless more activities. There are aspects of worship dispersed throughout the day such as worship songs, sermons, and prayer before meals. However, Carolina Point does not force religion upon its attendees. They simply lay out their message and allow for the individuals to make their own decision.

Another refreshing note is that Carolina Point does not have any cell service. The weekend forces campers to live in the moment rather than being held up on the virtual world.

Carolina Point rejuvenates your soul and makes you see things in a new mindset. You learn to appreciate the smaller things in life and make some new friends along the way. If you’re lucky, you’ll carry that perspective back home and gain a new outlook on life.
