One Way Ticket to Wanderlust

Imagine being straight out of college and purchasing a one-way ticket to London with no plan nor funds. That’s exactly what the now 26-year-old Brooke Saward of Tasmania did. Saward realized that she did not want to waste her days away, stuck behind a cramped desk in a stuffy office from 9 to 5 every day.

She now makes her living off of voyaging around the globe and writing about all of her experiences. Her luxurious blog, World of Wanderlust, depicts her tips, tricks, and struggles with exploring unknown cultures solo. The blogger also updates her 600k+ following by means of Youtube and Instagram. With more than 70 countries down, this digital nomad’s end is nowhere in sight.

Contrary to popular belief, being a world traveler is not the only item on Saward’s resume. She also manages to run a successful bakery in her hometown of Launceston, Tasmania called Charlie’s Dessert House. The young entrepreneur has also somehow managed to fit writing a book into her schedule as well.

Every morning, I look forward to reading her blog since it depicts the latest journey that she embarked on. Her writing style makes it feel as if you are along with her on the journey and you are simply having a conversation with each other. She tries to make the blog relatable and cater to the audience as much as possible. I strive to do just what Saward did: take a leap of faith and never look back.
