Home for the Holidays

I arguably think that one of the best feelings in the world is being home for the holidays. Family, friends, and food; what else could you need?
I was lucky enough to take a quick trip back home to Long Island for the long weekend and share in a few laughs with my loved ones.

The essential stop on my list (regardless the time of year) is the beach. Going from growing up being two minutes from the beach to attending college four hours away from the ocean is one of the hardest things for me. The ocean acts as my safe haven and happy place, allowing me to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life.
My friend Kelsey and I took a walk down to our local favorite, Rogers Beach, armed with bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches in hand from the local deli. We decided to walk around Main Street, slipping inside small boutiques, attempting to escape the brutal cold.

Thanksgiving Day revolved around good food, warm hugs, and sharing memories. I was able to see family that I haven’t seen in months and catch up like we never left. We stayed up playing board games until the late night, creating an amazing ending to an amazing night.
